Our Values

We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Relational

We are dedicated to the idea that real life change only happens through relationship. Relationship with God, and those relationships are the fuel to everything we do here at Life Church.

Love

We are committed to loving God and loving others, and to be known for our love for one another.

Worship

We strive to glorify God through worship that is rooted in scripture, and that draws us closer to Him.

Service

We are called to serve our community and those in need, through both physical and spiritual acts of love and kindness.

Evangelism

We seek to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all people, and to share the gospel through both deed and word.

Community

Being actively involved in what’s happening locally in our community is what the church is called to do, so we actively seek out opportunities to find needs, and meet them within our communities.

Discipleship

We prioritize the practice of discipling others in the faith, helping them to grow in their understanding of the Bible and their relationship with God.

Stewardship

We strive to be wise stewards of the resources God has given us, using them to meet the needs of the church and community.

Unity

We seek to foster unity in diversity, standing together as a church family united in our purpose of sharing God’s love.

Holiness

We strive to be a holy people, living in obedience to God’s Word and in surrender to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

Mission

We seek to fulfill the Great Commission, making disciples of Jesus Christ in our region and beyond.

Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • The Triune God (The Holy Trinity)

We believe in the one true God who has eternally existed as three distinct persons yet one being: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; He is also known as the Holy Trinity. He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. These three persons are coequal, sharing the same divine nature, power, and glory. These three are not three gods, but one God who works in perfect unity: the Father plans, the Son accomplishes the plan, and the Holy Spirit brings the work of God into our hearts and lives. As the Triune God, He is present everywhere, all-powerful, all-knowing, and unchanging.

    cf. Genesis 1:1, 26-27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

  • God the Father

We believe God the Father made everything by His own power and plan. He is distinct yet coequal with God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He rules over the world, cares for His people, and never changes. He guides history, provides what we need, and brings people from every place into His family through Jesus Christ. He corrects us because He loves us, watches over us with perfect wisdom, and promises an eternal home for all who belong to Him.

    cf. Genesis 1:1; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 103:13-19; Isaiah 46:9-10; Acts 17:24-26; Romans 8:14-17; Ephesians 1:3-11

  • God the Son

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He is distinct yet coequal with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. He took on human flesh through a virgin birth, lived a perfect life, and willingly died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of His people. He rose from the dead on the third day, proving His victory over sin and death, ascended to the Father’s right hand where He reigns today, and will one day return in glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to make all things new, just as promised in Revelation.

    cf. Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13

  • God the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the eternal Spirit of God who gives life, empowers believers, and works in our hearts to carry out God’s purposes. The Holy Spirit is distinct yet coequal with God the Father and God the Son. He works in the world to show people their need for Christ, opening hearts to sin, righteousness, and judgment. From the moment of salvation, He lives within every believer, giving new life, strength to live for God, understanding of His truth, and guidance in what is right. He gives every Christian spiritual gifts to build up the church, and as believers, we seek to walk with the Holy Spirit daily, relying on His power and living under His leadership.

    cf. 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 14:16-17; John 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13; Ephesians 5:18; Galatians 5:25

  • Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors under the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit. Because God inspired it, the Bible is completely true, without error, and fully trustworthy. It is our ultimate source for what we believe and how we live. Throughout the history of the church, the Scriptures God inspired have been received by His people, guarded through the centuries, and recognized as a closed canon, meaning the set of books God gave is complete, and no new books can be added. This leaves us with sixty-six books (see below) that make up the Old and New Testaments as the complete and preserved Word of God. We use this canon because Jesus and the apostles affirmed these writings as Scripture, and the early church, guided by the Holy Spirit, recognized these books as the ones God had given. Scripture speaks with God’s own authority because it reveals who He is, what He has done, what He commands, and how He saves. Every word is firm, unchanging, and reliable because it comes from the God who cannot lie. The Bible remains the Absolute Truth for every generation, culture, and circumstance.

    cf. 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:89, 160; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:17–18; Luke 24:44–45; John 17:17; Jude 3

  • Mankind

We believe God created mankind, male and female, in His image and likeness, making every person the supreme object of His creation and giving each of us dignity, value, and purpose. We were made to know God, reflect His character, rule over His creation, and walk in a close relationship with Him. Although humanity has great potential for good, every one of us is marred by a sinful nature that turns our hearts away from God’s original design. Sin distorts our desires, breaks our relationship with God, and leaves us unable to restore ourselves without His grace.

    cf. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3–6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1–2

  • Sin

We believe God created an order and law for His creation from the beginning, and mankind was designed to live within this law and created order under His authority. But mankind disobeyed God’s command, and sin entered the world, which broke our relationship with God and brought much pain, suffering, and destruction into the world that we live in today. Sin is rejecting, disobeying, and/or not conforming to God’s law in any way. Sin includes not only our outward actions, but also the thoughts, desires, and intentions of the heart. Because of sin, mankind is born with a sinful nature. The cost of this sin nature is death, from the smallest of thoughts to the largest of actions. Only through the sacrifice and saving work of Jesus Christ can we be set free from the cost of sin and restored in our relationship with God.

    cf. Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; 1 John 3:4; James 4:17; Galatians 5:19-21; Mark 7:20-23

  • Salvation

We believe salvation is God’s free gift given to us through Jesus Christ. We cannot earn it by being good, improving ourselves, or trying harder. We are saved only by turning from our sin and trusting in Jesus Christ, who lived the perfect life we could not live, died the death we deserved, and rose again to give us eternal life. We receive salvation by grace through faith, not by works. Because salvation comes from God and not from us, we cannot lose it. When God saves us, He keeps us. Once we belong to Christ, we are His forever.

    cf. Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; John 14:6; Titus 3:5

  • Eternity

We believe God created all mankind to live forever. Every person will spend eternity either with God or separated from Him. Those who reject God and remain in their sin will face eternal separation from Him in Hell. Those who trust in Jesus Christ and have accepted this gift of salvation receive forgiveness and will experience eternal life with Him in the New Heaven and New Earth. Both Heaven and Hell are real and both last forever. God promises that all who belong to Christ will share in His glory, joy, and presence for eternity.

    cf. John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1 Corinthians 2:7-9
